Mole Removal

Moles can lessen physical attractiveness and cause low self esteem. Moles can also be cancerous or indicate an increased likelihood of cancer. While there are various ways to remove a mole, it is recommended that only medical professionals conduct this treatment.

Surgical Mole Removal

Surgical excision is the only guaranteed way to remove a mole. Moles that are suspected to be cancerous, are irritating to the patient, or are cosmetically unappealing can be safely and easily removed.

Thankfully, the mole removal process is very simple. Generally, the area around the mole is numbed with a local anesthetic. Then, the mole is removed flush with the skin, or by excision which may require a few sutures. All in all, a mole removal procedure should be quick and painless. Once the mole is removed, it’s usually examined under a microscope to ensure it’s not cancerous.
